Description

This fortress was built by Kings of France in the 14th century. It protected the benedictine Abbey of Saint-André and the village. From the twin towers there is a beautiful view of Villeneuve, Avignon, the Rhone valley, Mont Ventoux and the Alpilles. The romanesque chapel Notre-Dame de Belvezet is open for visits.
